HALDIS IMPERIUM - Viola Grace
Champions of Terra - Book 5

February 2007
Erotic Fantasy Romance – Short Story
Flame Rating: 3 Flames (Scorcher)
Torgny, Alliance Headquarters
Amanda Tyrell, an Alliance Negotiator, has lived in her armored,
life-support suit for more than five years. Inside a suit, a negotiator is allowed to
hide gender and species and thus be able to go anywhere one is needed. She is
hard-wired into her suit and can call up any information she needs. Amy has
stayed inside her suit for such a long time so that she could help Terran
Champions find new lives and facilitate the rediscovery of the planet Admor. Her
favors for helping the four women cost her eight more months each in the suit.
Amy's entire time as a negotiator has been spent working with the Imperial
family of Torgny, a transport hub which requires the presence of a negotiator
at all times to assist with trade route contracts and agreements.
Amy's time in her suit has come to an end. No longer will she have to deal
with His Imperial Majesty, or so she thinks. She is grateful to be
free...except she isn't. The Emperor is looking for a wife and she fits all his
criteria, plus she has to fulfill the last of her alliance contract. There is only a
small problem. She knows him but he hasn't got a clue as to who she is.
Palden VII, of the House of Haldis, is less than pleased that a new
negotiator is being assigned to him. Losing his friend, Tyrell, has upset him to the
point that he has no interest in women. He especially does not wish to meet
the woman chosen for him.
When they do meet up and he finds out who she is, my oh my the sparks do fly
and both are overwhelmed by the intensity of their feelings. Their
lovemaking is hot, spirited, and mind boggling. They are well-suited and together
will
accomplish more than when Amy was only Palden's Negotiator.
I have had the privilege of reading and reviewing all five books of this
series. Viola Grace has given readers a look into a Universe where peace is
possible, albeit at a cost. Her characters are bright, well-rounded and
intelligent. The descriptions are so vivid that one can almost see, smell and touch
the people and places of her worlds. HALDIS IMPERIUM is the perfect end to a
perfect series. I only wish there was more. Read it and keep it.

  Sci-Fi Romance

Amy Tyrell is a negotiator for the Alliance and has the honor of being the longest
lasting negotiator for his Imperial Highness Palden VII, the most arrogant man in
Torgny. All negotiators for the Alliance are encased in armor that is integrated
with their body and makes them self sufficient. The armor also gives them extra
strength, access to databases, languages and complete anonymity. After five years
her contract is up as a Negotiator for the Alliance but she has another contract
now to fulfill.

After they remove the armor and Amy had recovered, she finds out that to complete
her employment with the Alliance she needs to fulfill the breeding portion of the
contract. She is to be sent back to Torgny to breed with her old boss Palden. He
considered Negotiator Tyrell his best friend and has been consumed with trying to
get her back, so much so that he has had nothing to do with Amy. Until a chance
meeting, that may change both of their lives forever.

First off let me tell you that this book is the 5th in a series and I had not read
any of the previous books, something that I will soon rectify. Viola Grace has
written a wonderful short story that will take you away. I was surprised by how
she was able to make me connect with the characters so quickly. They are so strong
and well written that when you start reading, you are thrown into their story and
immediately know them. For a quick out of this world read, pick up Haldis
Imperium. But if you have not read her previous books in this series go ahead and
splurge and treat yourself to the whole set, I know I will be.
