When Ceres
came into heat the first time her father made the traditional
mating arrangements. Not knowing he has arranged
for her mate to be Ranaan, her childhood love, and not wanting to
be mated to anyone but Ranaan, Ceres flees. After
six progressively stronger heat cycles and a year of avoiding
bounty hunters she has decided she must go home and face her
destiny. Before she can reach her home she is
captured and sent to the Grand Arena to be sold to the highest
bidder. Bound in a mating mask Ceres has no idea
that Ranaan is her buyer. Ceres’ heats are
increasing and she needs to be mated or go insane. Can
Ceres accept her fate and submit to her buyer whom she has no idea
is her beloved Ranaan?
Burning
Ceres
is an enjoyable quickie that takes you full circle from Ceres’
fear of being mated to anyone other than her beloved Ranaan back
to being unknowingly sold into the arms of her first love. Viola
Grace incorporates passion and romance into a
tasty little treat that just leaves you with a warm good feeling.

Heat level: O
Ceres eluded capture after running away from her father and an arranged
marriage. However, after a full solar year, she’s tired of being
on the run, as well as trying to stay a maiden while “in heat”.
Just as Ceres is ready to go back home, she is captured by a bounty
hunter, to be auctioned off at the Great Arena for mating to the highest
bidder. To make matters worse, Ceres is once again in heat – but
there is no longer a medical tank to immerse herself in to wait out her
cycle and keep her from stimulation. This time, her unknown bidder
will take her virginity, but is he interested in her heart?
Burning Ceres is a complete story that never leaves the reader
guessing or missing any plot points. The plot centered on Ceres’ reasons
for fleeing, only to come full circle to her bidder, Raanan, which makes
the resolution fulfilling. There are secondary characters that
contribute to the overall story and make it an appealing read. Although
there is a complete understanding of the characters, the world in which
the story takes place in was a bit vague in some parts, where rituals and
different cultures are less defined. Ceres and Raanan are likeable
and sexy characters, and the author does a great job in giving them life
so that we are never left guessing as to who and what they are about.
Although the sex was fast and furious in the beginning, due to Ceres’
need to mate, it smoothly turned into lovemaking when her heat cycle
ended, making their intimacy a believable romantic affair. Their
sexual encounters are passionate and erotic, and will leave the reader
satisfied until the very end. Burning Ceres is a great read
– one that is definitely recommended!

Angel review from FAR!
"Viola Grace
keeps the mystery alive in Burning Ceres; her characters confront
the misunderstandings and handle them with grace. She gives depth to these
foreign cultures and alien beings. Viola Grace’s handling of
their thoughts and feeling brought you into their world. As the two
characters explore each other, their bond becomes apparent even though
outside forces have intervened in the past and now in the present to cause
strife. This short story was a lighthearted caper overall and definitely
worth a read." Dana P. Fallen Angel

Review:
"Viola Grace
has written a heart-warming love story in Burning Ceres.Ranaan and Ceres
had a love for each other growing up, but when Ceres went into heat her
father set her up to be mated. Ceres didn’t know it was Ranaan she was
to be mated with and ran away. Now Ceres has been caught and Ranaan is out
to teach her a lesson. Her lesson, was his lesson, is our lesson. Their
own lesson; love what you have--each other. When he removes Ceres’ mask
to look into her eyes as they’re making love it shows the depth of his
devotion. It’s that feeling that everyone desires—pure and simple
undeniable emotion for each other. This story may give you a standard for
your range of devotion in your relationship, (if you need one), and shows
you an example of what is achievable if you set your standard higher. Ms
Grace you’ve given us something to think about. I enjoyed this story, as
it reminded me of being a newlywed. There are other conflicts in Burning
Ceres, and with it being a short story of 77 pages Viola Grace did good in
making it an interesting little treat. " Dee - Night
