Ruana Weldon is on a personal mission to relieve the uncontrollable lust that she is experiencing with a ‘wolf’ of a man instead of her normal self masturbation. Ruana has the unfortunate problem of constantly going into ‘heat’, a rare trait among werewolves. She agrees to meet her friends at the Howl to relieve her torment. Ruana also happens to be a breeder of ‘alpha’ werewolves, making her a very hot commodity. Aleczander (Zan) Masters spots Ruana in the club and stakes her as his. Ruana and Zan have to right not only the other wolves that want to breed with her but they also have to deal with Ruana’s family of witches.

What a refreshing change of characteristics for a werewolf story!! The Warder’s Wolf threw away the notion that once a werewolf marked his mate that no others would try to take her. Ruana is a special person, she actually goes into HEAT, a trait so rare in the werewolf community that all clans want her; she is also half witch. Zan is just the werewolf to meet all of her needs and he accepts her unique family of high level of witches. Ms. Grace truly understood her characters and it showed in every page. This story had different quirks of potential in-laws for Zan and Ruana. Even the bad guys were written well and flowed with the story. The sexual chemistry between Zan and Ruana was so very hot, different scenes caused dampness and some hot flashes. I plan on getting the first two books in the Warders series to catch up on what I missed and I plan on adding Ms. Grace to my favorite list of authors.

The Warder’s Wolf – Book Three: The Warders Series is Viola Grace’s latest installment in a series packed with world-building that features an amazing array of inventive and unique characters. This one has it all, and this tale is chock-full of fast-paced, witty dialogue and layer after layer of interesting back story. I’ll be hunting up the other two books in this series. I especially loved the touches of humor interspersed throughout this story, and am pleased to award The Warder’s Wolf with Five Angels!
